Assam Association, Delhi is a Socio-cultural, non-political forum of the people from Assam who are residing in Delhi and NCR. The association was established in the year 1947 and formally registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 Act XXI of 1860.
Situated at Qutab Institutional Area, the association has a dedicated cultural complex in its name which is managed by the Assam Association Cultural & Educational Trust.
Srimanta Sankardev Bhawan, a cultural complex named after the 15th Century saint-social reformer-cultural icon Srimanta Sankaradeva and located at the Qutub Institutional Area near Jawaharlal Nehru University in South Delhi. The fully functional complex offers courses in Assamese language and the classical dance form Sattriya, apart from an auditorium and a dispensary through which doctors from the community have been offering voluntary primary health care facilities to the needy.
Additionally, it has a functional library, transit accommodation facility and a restaurant offering Assamese cuisines.
