Notice: Election for Executive Committee Members of Assam Association, Delhi 2017-19

This is for general information of all the life members of Assam Association, Delhi that the Election for the Executive Committee for the term 2017-19 will be held as per the schedule at Annexure- I(B) for the post of positions as per Annexure-1(A). Therefore, the election is hereby notified and invited nominations from the eligible life members of Assam Association, Delhi.
The Assam Association, Delhi has appointed undersigned as Returning Officer and Shri Manik Chandra Dash and Sri Dhanjit Das as Associates to conduct this election for the term 2017-19.
Eligibility: Contestant must be a valid life member of Assam Association, Delhi for at least 3 ( three ) years as on the date of this notification.
- Nomination Forms along with Format of Undertaking will be available at Reception counter of Srimanta Sankaradeva Bhawan, w.e.f 20th August, 2017 to 30th August , 2017 (10 a.m to 5 p.m.). Duly filled up Nomination papers, proposed and seconded by the life members (including signature of acceptance by the candidate) may please be dropped in the sealed Drop Box (under the control of the Returning Officer) kept at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Bhawan from 25th August , 2017 to 1st September, 2017 (10 a.m to 5 p.m.).
- Withdrawal of nominations, if any, addressed to the Returning Officer, written in plain paper and duly signed by the candidate, may please be dropped in the Drop Box kept (under the control of the Returning Officer) at the Srimanta Sankaradev for receiving application for withdrawal nomination Such application will be received until 5.00 PM on 7th September, 2017 and the final list of candidate for election shall be displayed at the Notice Board of Srimanta Sankaradev Bhawan at 7.00 PM on 7th September, 2017. The election will be held through secret ballot as per detailed program given in Annexure I (B)

Instructions:
- Only life members can participate in the election process
- Duly filled in forms to be dropped in the designated SEALED DROP BOX kept at Srimanta Sankaradeva Bhawan, New Delhi (From 10 a.m on 25/08/2017 to 5 p.m on 01/09/2019).
- One life member can either propose or second only one candidate.
Either the Proposer or Seconder of candidate must be present along with the candidate at the time of opening the nomination Papers.
